PLEASE SEE THE SPECIAL NOTICE UNDERNEATH ABOUT DOUBLING-UP ARRANGEMENTS & PLATE COMPETITIONS FOR SOME JUNIOR EVENTS
ALL EVENTS: Will take place from stakeboats over a 1,000 metres downstream two-lane buoyed course and will be decided by knock-out competitions.
EVENTS 12, 18, & 36: Veterans are invited to enter and classifications will depend on type and number of entries received.
EVENTS 11 & 37: Open only to Novices who are also Veterans (see Rule 4-1-9). Winners may lose their Novice status (Rule 4-1-2).
EVENTS 38-56: Entrants for these events may not double up. Entries in J13, and younger, events will only be accepted from ARA registered competitors; Day Tickets may not be used.
EVENT 56: Crews must be composed of 2 boys + 2 girls.
PLATE COMPETITION: All first-race losers in events 39 - 56 where there are 8 or more entries will automatically go into a Plate competition.
PRIZES: Engraved PINT TANKARDS for all events.
DRAW: Will take place at Weybridge Rowing Club on Sunday, 28th May 2006, at 12 noon.
ENTRY FEES: Eights (8o, 8x) £60, Fours (4+, 4-, 4x+, 4x-) £36, Pairs (2-, 2x) £18, Singles (1x) £9.
ENTRIES: May be made on-line (through OARA), or by post. On-line will be available until 8 p.m. on Saturday 27th May 2006, payment must be made by cheque to the Entries Secretary.
Postal entries must be on standard ARA forms, and either posted to::
ENTRIES SECRETARY, WALTON & WEYBRIDGE REGATTA, 59 Berkeley Court, Weybridge, Surrey KT13 9HY, or delivered by hand to WALTON ROWING CLUB, by 10.00 p.m. on Saturday 27th MAY 2005.
Entries should be accompanied by a cheque payable to 'Walton & Weybridge Regatta' and include £15 for each Day Licence required.
In the case of insufficient entries for an event, the Committee reserve the right to offer to transfer the entry to the next higher status.
Please state on the Entry Form the name and telephone number of a person who may make a decision on the day of the Draw. This is essential for Veteran Events.
DOUBLING-UP: is permitted except in events 38 to 56 incl. HOWEVER PLEASE NOTE CAREFULLY: The order of event numbers in all heats and finals will be as follows : 28, 19, 44, 36, 24, 13, 48, 56, 35, 22, 23, 43, 17, 9, 49, 55, 21, 34, 29, 42, 12, 7, 10, 50, 54, 26, 32, 41, 8, 11, 5, 51, 47, 25, 33, 20, 40, 16, 4, 52, 6, 46, 15, 27, 39, 37, 3, 31, 53, 45, 14, 30, 38, 18, 2, 1 and THIS ORDER WILL NOT BE CHANGED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Heats will be at 3 or 4 minute intervals, with finals at 4 or 5 minute intervals.
It is the responsibility of entrants to ensure that they will have sufficient time between races.
Races will start without reference to absentees. Notification of doublings is no longer required.
The Regatta offers a wide range of events, but is limited as to the number of races it can accommodate. The Committee therefore reserves the right to refuse entries which are incomplete or not accompanied by full payment, and to cancel any event which receives fewer than three entries.
IF YOUR ENTRY IS POSTED ON OR AFTER 25 MAY YOU ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO TELEPHONE 01932-220401 ON SATURDAY 27 MAY, AFTER 12 NOON, TO CONFIRM ITS RECEIPT. HOWEVER, TELEPHONE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
