Timetable 2024

Arriving at the regatta

All Clubs have already received a list of those permitted to park in Sunbury Lane (OpenStreetMap) on Friday 7th June. Please follow the guidance in the Trailer Parking document. Permitted trailers should be parked at the river end of Sunbury Lane opposite Walton Rowing Club as directed. Do not park trailers without supervision from a regatta official who will be on duty from 08.30 to 17.00. Trailers that are directed into the refinery car park in Sunbury Lane MUST leave on Saturday evening as the facility will not be open on Sunday 9th. This, and the Sunbury Lane parking zone are not secure areas and the Committee cannot accept any responsibility for any loss or damage.

Only those clubs that have been notified in advance may park their trailer or boat-carrying vehicle in Waterside Drive. Spectators may park at Heathside School, Waterside Drive, KT12 2JP, which is a 10 minute walk from the regatta site. Marshals will supervise parking and if all spaces are taken, spectators must find space in local roads with due respect for residents.

Please note that racing start at 0830 and there will be continuous racing at two or three minute intervals throughout the day. The co-operation of coaches and competitors is therefore requested to ensure crews are boated in good time to be ready to race in accordance with the timetable. In particular, boats will need to be moved rapidly on and off the landing stages to ensure the correct throughput to the start.

Crews not boating from Walton RC must arrange to collect their numbers well before their race times and have them affixed before they enter the Walton stretch. They will not be allowed to land their boats at the Walton landing stage to pick up numbers.

Registration and Crew Changes

Crew numbers can be collected from Regatta Registration (at the back of Walton RC boathouse) from 0700. However, to avoid hold-ups, between 0700-0900 the only numbers that will be given out are those for race numbers 1-32.

Under the new competition system, it is the responsibility of every club to make any crew changes in BROE. Substitutions (50% rule) can be made up until the point when crews register. No changes can be made after this except for medical emergencies (Rule 724e) and only with the approval of Regatta Registration. All on-the-day scratchings should be notified to Race Control in the Finish Tent.

Club Gazebos

There is no longer any space for club gazebos.
